Feeling Alone

Sometimes when things get truly bad, it feels like we are totally and completely alone.  It is important to remember that even when we are alone in a space, we are never alone.  The Spirit is also with us constantly.

It is also important to remember, that no matter what happens, nothing is ever as bad as it seems.  The Spirit always helps up find a way through our deepest worries and troubles, and even at our worst, Spirit always sees us and helps us heal and be our best.

When taking responsibility for an issue (no matter how long ago the issue started, or what it caused), you are only responsible for your actions and words.  You are not responsible for another person’s actions.  If they choose to not see how their actions affect others, if they choose to be a hypocrite, it is between them and the Spirit.  Your only choice is to try and help them see it, or if they cannot or will not, then let them be. Some people aren’t ready  yet to face their wounds, some people refuse to acknowledge them.  It is not your choice to make.

It is always a good idea to ask someone how you are doing.  Some people may be able to let you know how you are doing from an outside perspective.  Plus, reaching out may be necessary to your own personal healing and growth.

When I was a child, the expectation set was that I had to be perfect.  It is an emotion that has been locked into me for my entire life.  It has also caused me much internal damage, and through that I have caused much external damage as well.  I have had to learn that I will never be perfect.  I will always be damaged goods.  But perfection is a goal that I can always try to attain, and it is ok for me to reach out and ask for help.
