Welcome Back To A New Start

Wow! When I wrote the last post, I had no intention on taking such a long hiatus. I even tried to write a post early on, but to no avail. Things at the time were just not conducive to writing at the time. So, here we are, back again, and while things on the outside don’t seem much different, there has been so much that has happened in the last few months. So, now, I’m going to jump right back in and catch all of my fellow Warriors up on the happenings of the last few months, and touch on a few things from earlier this year that are seemingly being finalized as this year winds down.

First, yes, I am still working at the airport, and still enjoying the job. I cannot express how nice it is to be able to come home from work, and still have a smile on my face, and minimal stress. However, until recently, I haven’t had a set schedule, which, as you can imagine, has made the rest of my functional life somewhat difficult to plan, and writing almost impossible. However, since I do have quite a bit of downtime at work, and a supportive boss, I now have an easy solution. A small purchase of a new portable keyboard (it’s incredibly difficult to write a full blog on a phone without one) and I’m back up and running. For a Warrior, there is no impossible situation, and there is a solution for everything (and many thanks to my supporting, loving husband for suggesting the keyboard in the first place).

I also need to give additional thanks to my husband. Since my last post, the physical Den has undergone a few changes as well. My husband has gotten the new fence up separating out the garden area from the rest of the yard, so in the next several months, we will be doing additional prep work and transplanting the grass in that area to other parts of the yard. He’s also installed a new gate, making our entrance simultaneously more secure (as in we don’t have to worry anymore about the dogs running out the main gate when it’s open), while making it easier for us to negotiate.

We’ve also taken a break and given ourselves some much needed time off. It’s been a long time since we’ve really done anything like that, and it’s nice to feel more refreshed and relaxed than we have in years.

While at work, I’ve also been able to keep up on my personal projects. Soon I hope to have the personal gift I’m making completed (it’s the second one since I’ve starting back to working on them), then I’ll be creating projects for purchase (and I already have my first order!), so as things become available I’ll post updates and give further details on how to get a truly personalized gift for yourself or someone else.

But I think the most important thing that has occurred in the last few months, is that we have done some much needed healing. I can honestly say that we have brought out more deep-seated, long-term trauma for healing in the last few months than perhaps ever. The difference is astounding. I know that we will be working on our wounds for the rest of our lives, and we must always be watchful for potential issues that we may create through our past pain so that we do not create more.

In closing, I want to welcome the new Warriors to The Warriors Den. The last few months have provided me with several new post ideas which I will be bringing forth, and there are some which I will take into further detail. I will also be discussing much of my own personal “drama-trauma” in detail and sharing more of my own healing process in the hopes that my Healing Journey can help those of you who may need it.

Until then, stay well and

Blessed Be.
