There is a phrase, “God helps those who help themselves.” It’s a simple phrase. Most people don’t really understand it. As a child, I certainly didn’t. Especially when I would hear people say another common phrase, usually some form of, “I turned it over to God”, or “God will take care of it for me”. It is very difficult to confuse these two phrases as they have two completely different meanings.
The first phrase, “God helps those who helps themselves” involves personal responsibility. Now, when I was a young, I didn’t understand how it could be that God would help you if you were the one doing the work. The second phrase confused me just as much, since “turning ‘it’ over to God” implies that whatever it is that you want is just going to happen for you, and you don’t have to do anything to make it happen. Many people are disappointed when this doesn’t happen.
The truth is, if you follow the Path of the Spirit, both are true. And that is where we find miracles, and changes occurring. This process is called following Synchronicity, and once I started to experience it, my world started to change.
I know that it has been several days since I have made a post. I am sorry for that. However, the reason is that God/Spirit has been helping me. In two weeks I will have an announcement to make regarding a recent change in my life. This is a change that I felt driven to make, and it is a change that, if all of the indications are true, will have an incredible impact on what happens with the blog.
