So often, we may not be happy with things exactly as they are in our lives, and no matter how hard we try, nothing changes for us. Sometimes, it’s because we are fighting what is when we need to just accept the situation. Other times, we may need to change something within ourselves. And finally, there are times when the necessary changes are outside of our control. During those times, it is often the case that the change is already in process, and we just need to be patient and wait for the Spirit to make the necessary change for us.
That has been the case for many of us recently. As many of you are aware, one of the changes that I have been waiting for was a specific schedule change at work. I am very happy to announce that the change has taken effect, and is finalizing itself now. This is an incredible blessing for me, as it will bring into fulfillment a stability that I haven’t had in nearly two years, and project productivity time that I haven’t had to the level I do now in over a decade.
While there are still issues that are ironing themselves out, and will eventually clear in time, I feel as though I have not just returned to the Path that I lost many years ago, but that the Path is much clearer in ways that it was not before. Plus, with the intense healing that we have gone through in the past several months, getting through the small hitches is becoming much easier as we are no longer carrying around so much old emotional baggage.
I am also very pleased to say that many others that I know and work with are undergoing very similar changes, and are currently following guidance from the Spirit leading them on their Paths as well. In fact, just moments ago, a coworker and I were just having the same conversation regarding recent and upcoming changes in his life.
Not all changes will happen swiftly. In fact, last year while I was posting updates about how the changes in my home office were going, we got hit with disaster after disaster which put everything I was trying to do on hold. To this day I still haven’t gotten back to the office cleaning. I don’t consider anything that happened a setback in any way. In fact, I find it a blessing. It has allowed me to step back and reassess my mental processes and make some changes in how I was thinking about things. Do I still find it important to make those changes at home and clean the office (and other similar tasks)? Yes, I do. But rather than seeing what happened as a negative, I view myself in the same position that I was in, I just had to stabilize my position before I can move forward.
I’ve adapted the same thinking process to my physical health as well. Instead of thinking about a day where I don’t get on the elliptical, do stretching or even take a walk as losing important time, I consider myself as holding onto a balanced point, and pick up from the same spot a day or so later. In this way, I have been able to increase my time on the elliptical and incorporate new stretches much more often than I have in the past two years!
Change can happen. Sometimes it’s up to us, sometimes not. But always the Spirit is involved, and continues to guide the process and lead us to where we need to be and when. If that change is meant to be, it will be. Just leave yourself open to the help that guides us all.
Blessed Be.
