Change Can Happen In An Instant

Sometimes, change can happen in an instant, and when you see the moment, you know automatically what the right thing to do is.  For the past month, that’s part of what I’ve been working on.  And four days ago, the change finally happened.

For the second time this year, I have found myself changing jobs, and for much the same reason as before.  I’m still working in a store, just a different kind of store.  Rather than a convenience store, now I am working in a discount store.  This time though, the atmosphere is different, the energy is different.  I also have the added benefit of having worked in retail before.

I appreciate the knowledge and experience I gained at the convenience store, but it was time to move forward.  I am looking forward to this new experience in a new environment.  I don’t expect things to be perfect, or without stress.  I do feel a bit more prepared and comfortable in knowing that already I feel like part of a team, and that the training I have received so far has already shown itself to be better than prior circumstances.

I wish my former co-workers all the best, but for me, it’s time to move forward.  With the knowledge I have gained and experience I have gained, I am looking forward to the future and seeing what possibilities are on the horizon.
