Drama, Drama Everywhere…

and not a bite of news on which to think.

The last several days, as I usually do, I’ve been watching the headlines in the “news”, and I keep wondering, “Where is it?  Where is my news?”.  I keep watching the headlines, and nothing that I see in the news matches what I see and experience in my life.  Nor do I know anyone else who is experiencing the drama being played out for us daily.

Our city is a border town.  We have friends, co-workers and customers of every race, and we all get along.  Ours in a farming community that feeds the world.  Bad air quality here means the tractors are running, or the fields are being burned to get rid of last years roots and add carbon to the soil to grow next year’s salads and wheat.

When I see the news, I see bad theater.  I see a tool of the political machine trying to create a new play out of old, long dead material that is no longer applicable to our lives now.  What I don’t see is the truth.  And this is partly our fault.

We, as the human community, must stand together and show the media, and the politicians that our lives and not what they are trying to create, and make us believe.  We should be sharing photos and videos of ourselves together, all races creating a community that they cannot cover up, cannot hide.  We must create the world that they are trying to destroy.

We are all human.  We are all one.  It’s time we started showing it.
