Watching History In The Making

Good Morning, Warriors!  Today is another beautiful day in the  desert, even if it is getting hot early!  The sky is blue, and the fields have a late crop of what looks like wheat growing well.  In many ways, nothing in our world has changed.  On the other hand, I don’t think any of us can doubt that our world is undergoing massive upheaval and changes that will shape the future of our society permanently.

One of my Spiritual authors is James Redfield.  In his “The Celestine Prophecy” series he describes in detail what types of changes we can expect to see during the time of spiritual ascension with various groups of individuals waking up to the corruption and failure of an old model of thinking and beliefs and making changes to bring in a new model.  Another favorite author, and decidedly not spiritual, is Ayn Rand.  Her novel, “Atlas Shrugged” vividly describes the effects of governmental regulation and restrictions on all aspects of society, concluding with society’s eventual collapse and the beginnings  of rebirth.

You might think that these two books are completely opposite of each other.  In many ways, you could be right.  For me, when I look out my window, read the headlines, talk to people, any of the myriad ways that I gain my knowledge I see in the world all of the things that both authors bring forth and discuss in their novels, both the bad and the good.  I see the old world being called for what it is, and I’ve seen people waking up and bringing in the new.  I’ve seen people hiding from the changes, and I’ve seen people embracing them.

Yes, this is a time for change.  We are watching history in the making, and it is exciting!  Do I expect things to get better?  In the long run, yes.  For now, we have a long a difficult road ahead of us.  Change isn’t comfortable, and it’s not easy.  But it is always worth it, and so are the lessons we learn along the way.

Blessed Be.
